My son is 6 months old. Why is it not advisable to give cow milk to 6-7months old baby? Or is it fine to start giving cow milk to him?

Cow's milk protein is a common allergen hence it is advisable to start drinking cow's milk for  after a year, however one can use cow's milk for preparation of porridge, daliya, kheer etc after 6 months.
