My B.P is 160/80 it is too much. I am depressed now either in future I may have heart diseases. Pulse rate is 98

Hello there.  I can understand your concern.  Bloos pressure changes throughout the day even every minute. One recording cannot label you as a hypertensive. 160 systolic is high but 80 diastolic is normal. I would suggest you get your blood pressure recorded everyday for 3 days at the same time from the same person. If all three come high only then you will be considered hyoertensive. Hello there...I can understand your concern. 160 by 80 was a one time reading or are you getting it regularly. because sometimes even stress or any physical activity also can cause a temporary rise in blood pressure. you will regular monitoring and if it is still high started on antihypertensive medications. conservatively start having alow salt diet, excersise regularly, try yoga meditation. these measure help a lot to control blood pressure. kindly consult a general physician for further evaluation.
