I have frequent one sided sinus headaches with heaviness in the head and blocked nostrils . I underwent a CT scan which showed I have a mild deviated septum with a small bony spur formation and I have been advised surgery for a permanent solution. I would like to have a second opinion please advise ...I am attaching my report below please advise appropriately.

Surgery is only indicated when the pathway of medication like Intranasal Corticosteroid Sprays is obstructed by a deviated nasal septum or blocked ostiomeatal complex on either side or sino-nasal polyposis.... As none of the above situations present in your case, your nose and sinuses can be treated medically by any competent ENT Specialist. Use this app to search for a good doctor near you as clearly you need to consult another ENT Specialist who puts your interests ahead of all other factors!

Hai, all head aches are NOT sinus head aches, Did the CT scan show sinusitis in your sinuses, Along with deviated septum? If yes- use a course of antibiotics and watch. If No, then your head ache may not be sinus related. So go and meet a good ENT surgeon in your city for second opinion. Dr sandeep Dachuri
