Hi..I have been noticing blood in my first spit in the morning since 3 to 4 days which generally comes in a lump form of my saliva..What can be the concern?

Ur problem HAEMOPTYSIS Hemoptysis is the coughing up of blood or blood-stained mucus from the bronchi, larynx, trachea, or lungs. This can occur with lung cancer, infections such as tuberculosis, bronchitis, or pneumonia, and certain cardiovascular conditions. POSSIBILITIES OF HAEMOPTYSIS. Abrupt-onset cough, fever with bloody and purulent sputum - suggestive of acute pneumonia or bronchitis. Chronic productive cough - suggestive of chronic bronchitis or bronchiectasis. Fevers, night sweats and weight loss - consider TB and other infections or malignancy. Anorexia, weight loss and changing cough - think of possible tb,bronchogenic carcinoma. Dyspnoea, fatigue, orthopnoea, paroxysmal nocturnal dyspnoea, frothy pink sputum - suggestive of congestive heart failure. Dyspnoea and pleuritic chest pain - consider a PE. INVESTIGATION REQUIRED CBC,BT,CT, PROTHROMBIN TIME,X RAY CHEST. NOTE- TREATMENT DEPENDS UPON THE UNDERLINED CAUSE. EARLY DIAGNOSIS AND EARLY TREATNEMT IS BETTER CHOICE. U Need to do through investigation to evaluate the exact cause of haemoptysis. I Need ur detailed history investigation and previous medication details to evaluate ur exact cause of haemoptysis.
