Frequent dizziness and sweating
My mother ( 54 years old) got sugar and asthma. She taking metformin and deriphyllin tablets. But now days she is having frequent dizziness and sweating. Also at that time her both hands become cold. She feels restless. We are doing home sugar test and bp monitoring and also using oximeter. All seems to normal, not much difference..  Why it is happening? This problem comes under which specialist.?.please help.

Hi! The symptoms that you have described mostly fall under hypoglycemia, that is low blood sugars. During her episodes of sweating again try to have her Sugars tested with the same glucometer and also another glucometer. Check if there is too much difference between the two. Also have her HbA1c tested. These are the initial things that we have to look for. If hypoglycemia is not the problem then we can go in and look for other problems like vitamin deficiencies diabetic neuropathy etc.
