My baby is 13 days old. I had no supply of milk at first for which I was given medications but still milk supply is very very low. He is on Dexolax formula from birth. Is it ok if this formula feeding continues and is there any difference btw breastmilk and formula milk.?

There is a vast difference between formula milk and your milk.Firstly ,formula is made from cows milk,it has very high protein and sodium which is too heavy for the newborn baby's intestine and kidney. Also it lacks immunity boosting factors and DHA required for brain growth. Also there is a risk of infections for a formula fed baby.Breast milk has everything which your baby needs in right quantity and it is absolutely infection free. There are many ways to improve your milk output and let the baby rightfully have your milk.
Next Steps
Try to give breast feed every time.Certain maneuvers and positions as also behavioral changes could help in improving your output. An online consultation is highly recommended to clarify your doubts and guide you further on this.
