There are two ways of doing about it
If the stool frequency is the issue and it’s affecting the quality of life then definitely permanent ileostomy is going to help improve the quality of life
Permanent ileostomy may sound and look cumbersome but eventually it’s gonna definitely improve the quality as an compared to having diarrhea and developing excoriations in the perianal region
If incontinence is the issue, there are surgeries to improve the anal sphincter strength and that might help her
But mostly the former procedure has better patient satisfaction rates
