For fever of my one & half year old baby

Asked for Female, 32 Years

My baby is 1 and half year old. He is suffering from fever from 3 days. I have noticed that when his temperature was high then his cheeks was also red when his temperature was 101.4 but when temperature goes normal his cheeks also looks normal. He is also not taking food. I have visited to the doctor for his fever & he said that wait for one more day but I have forget to tell about his red cheeks. Is it normal. What should I do.
