Foot Ache around arch and heel
I have a light swelling and ache in the left foot. I cannot pin-point the pain but it appears to be under the arch and near the heel. It is worsened while sedentary and in the morning when I wake up. This has been appearing since the past two weeks. As per a doctor's advice while I was outside India when this symptom first appeared I had taken some blood and urine tests and the only abnormal factor was uric acid at 9.4 against a normal of 3.4 - 7. I was diabetic. Now I am not as a result of a Keto diet, started 9 months back which I still cintinue. Hba1c has been below 5.5 during this period. Had peripheral neuropathy and insomnia which too disappeared. Hence related medications were stopped 8 months back.

Do you consume alcoholic beverages? Did you stop your diabetic medication on the advice of a doctor or on your own? Well from the history you provided it appears to be GOUT, but i really need to assess more history.
