Fruits and veggies brought from market must be washed with plenty of running water and use of Dettol or savlon or detergent must be avoided. Packaged food items damaged by rats must not be used. Fever, headache, nausea, vomiting, body pain, jaundice, morbilliform rashes, yellow discoloration of skin, sclera can be features of clinical disease.

Veg & fruits you can put in soap water(vim liquid) is OK. Leave it for 1 hour. Dispose the plastic cover then itself. Try to shop in your own bag and wash it in hot water. When you purchase, check the pack nicely. Open one don't take. You have to wipe the packets with sanitizer. Or keep it in the sun for 2 hours

Depending upon type of vegetable, wash the vegetables and fruits with lukewarm water by adding salt/baking powder or water with 2% soap/detergent solution by rubbing with hands.. wash with tap water. If a packet is having holes because of rat biting, then u should never use it (not even when there was no covid19 problem). It has not being proved that rats can spread covid 19 infection.
