Fluid in endometrial cavity
Hello, my Mother in law underwent an ultra sound and pap smear, wherein pap smear showed no issues. the ultra sound evidenced "Fluid retention in the endometrial cavity" with a thickness of 8mm. She is currently on antibiotics to treat the same. Is this a issue to be concerned about? She is post menopausal now.

We do find in some postmenopausal pts. This issue. Usually we investigate further with MRI and if any concern to take a biopsy.
