In my experience, the pain at the injection site is usually similar to what he experienced with the previous 6, 10, and 14-week vaccinations, especially for the DTaP vaccine. Some babies may be a little fussy and experience mild swelling, tenderness, or redness at the injection site, but these symptoms are generally short-lived. Every child’s reaction can vary, but most babies tolerate these vaccines quite well and any discomfort typically resolves within a few days. Personally, I find that distraction, cuddling, and comfort feeding right after the shot can really help soothe your baby
