Fissure per se doesn't require colonoscopy but persistent recurrent multiple Fissures or fistulas . Need proper intestinal evaluation to rule out other intestinal causes for Fissures, so colonoscopy is done.

Fissure, can be diagnosed clinically most of the times only even without proctoscopy. In fact if someone has fissure and pain one need to avoid proctoscopic examination.
Fissures can be managed medically n surgically both. If there is h/o of chronic long and persistent fissyre its better to go for surgery.

Fissure can be identified in both proctoscopy and colonoscopy.
Fissure can be identified by sigmoidoscopy also.
Kindly consult for further clarification and better advice
It must be an incidental finding during your colonoscopy, normally digital rectal examination is done before colonoscopy for conditions like fissure , Haemorrhoids. Procedures like proctoscopy are avoided in case of painful fissures . Have high fibre diet , adequate water intake.
Fissure is an external finding, as such no investigation are needed for that, for haemorrhoids, proctoscopy/ colonoscopy needed. So as already diagnosed eat high fiber diet & stool softener for few days for constipation.
