Fissure surgery advice
My father is adviced to do fissure surgery , I want to ask if surgery is required to cure fissure issue? Is it not controlled via medicines only? Or surgery is required? And is there any side effects post the surgery

acute anal fissures can be treated with conservative management .for any Fissure initially we can try managing with conservative management. if there is no proper healing or symptoms worsen we can go for surgery.
