No If a physician has referred you to a psychiatrist, organic causes to your problem would have been already ruled out. So we have to interview and clarify certain things to reach an accurate diagnosis and look for comorbidities so that appropriate treatment can be decided.

Hi there, A detailed medical and psychiatric history is always needed for every patient. In addition, a detailed mental status examination is also recommended for every case to come for a diagnosis and its management accordingly. A physical examination is generally done by the physician/Surgeon depending on any history related to the genital area.As you have gone through a physician, I’m sure some of the related history must have been taken. But still a detailed history is to be taken by the mental health professional to rule out any psychiatric disorder, medical illnesses, treatment history etc. If that is okay, an online consultation can be taken.
