In the recent 3-4 months, my fingers constantly need to be popped. I've looked online for what this problem could be, but it seems to be 'normal' according to those articles.
It is more often when I lift weights in the gym (which I've been doing for over 18 years)
I want to know, why would this increase in the recent past. Is this because of muscle trauma or age?
And I would like to know how I can reduce it?

Keep yourself hydrated.Keep popping your fingers as much as you want till you get bored. It's just a question of habit. Think of something productive to do to distract yourself every time you feel like popping your fingers.Just don't give too much thought into that. Because it is not a problem.
Next Steps
Nothing wrong with it . So nothing else to do about it.
Health Tips
Drink lot of water. Keep hydrated during your work outs.
