Finasteride 1 mg causes prostate cancer
Hi sir,i underwent hair transplant 3 years ago, since then i am taking Finasteride 1 mg, but recently i read pcpt trial, which says that Finasteride causes high grafe cancer on lon term intake , is it true , can i continue drug for another 3 years?

It's not like finasteride cause high grade cancer... people who take finasteride for prophylaxis of prostate cancer ,there is increase in no of high grade cancer eventhough total number of cancers is reduced...
Thats why prophylaxis is not recommended for prostate cancer...
Basically this study done In men aged more than 55yrs... We can't interpret that to you ..I think you are much young...
