Fever in 2 year old boy post fracture in
My 2 year old son is getting high grade fever post the fracture. Everytime the medication wears off in 6 hrs, the temperature is raising to 102. He has sustained fracture in near his elbow. Doctor's prescribed ibugesic 3 times a day. Please advise

Any slab application done for the elbow fracture or not. U can take ibugesic as prescribed dose. No need to worry, actually it is common in children

• Limb elevation, Active/Passive finger/Toe movements. • Intermittent ice pack application. • Rest/Non-weight-bearing mobilization till further advice. • Watch for increased Swelling/Excessive pain/Toe or Finger discoloration/Fever. If present, visit the nearest hospital immediately. • Routine follow-up after investigations.
