Fever in 1.2 year old baby
Hi doc My daughter is 1 year and 2 months old and her weight is 9.7kgs. Since today afternoon she is having fever 99.9 degrees. Her palm, neck and forehead are warm but legs are cool. She is also in her teething period as her 1st lower incisor just got erupted 10 days back and yet to emerge fully. Can it be because of 2nd incisor coming? Please guide.

Check temp, if 100 degree F or more then give Syp Paracetamol ( 250mg/5ml)- 3ml . Max 4 times you can give. Give ORS and healthy diet also. Do not take tension regarding teeth eruption, its natural process and absolutely harmless..

Hi No this is not due to 2nd incisor coming. During teething time normally babies develop mouthing (they put which ever in their hand in mouth) may be that is why they got infections. Nothing to worry give sup paracetamol 250 MG/5ml 3 ml 6 th hourly for 2 days ,if not subside consult doctor. Vanajaas Vatsalya child care clinic @Tirupati
