Fever during periods

Asked for Female, 26 Years

Is it normal to have a low grade temp of 99- 99.8 during periods. I had a temp of 99.8 the day my period started. It lasted with fluctuations around 99.4,99.1 and went away. But I am still feeling feverish and especially my palms and neck are feeling so hot. It's very uncomfortable. I feel like taking a cold shower all the time. What could be the reason?
