Fever and pain while urinating
Doctor,my daughter is 2 years and 2 month in age and she's having high fever (103°F) since last night 2 'o clock and having loose motions. Consulted the doctor in the morning ,doctor prescribed PCM syrup,using which fever is now much controlled but from afternoon she is complaining about pain while urinating,every time she urinate she complains pain in urinary tract,we use to wash her vagina by cold/hot water also but pain still persists while urinating also losse motion is persisiting. Doctor kindly help me out. Thank You

Ok...dont worry.. Do urine routine test... Give plenty of liquid orally mainly CITRUS fruits juice like lemon....

Could be urine infection
Next Steps
Give plenty of water or liquids to drinks. Get a urine routine test done if infection , get a urine culture test too.

You need to test urine(Microscopy and culture & sensitivity) to confirm urinary tract infection Children of this age present with high grade fever like this associated with diarrhoea and vomiting in UTI
Next Steps
give PCM syrup 4-6hourly gap and tepid sponging as and when needed child will need antibiotics for UTI
