Nothing seems much concern as of now until he continues to have this low grade fever for another 2 days then get himself tested with necessary blood tests.

Nothing to be worried about, 99 fever can happen. If the fever doesn’t come down today or rises then consider consulting a doctor. Also have him take some rest.
