Ferinject during pregnancy
My wife is pregnant for 8 weeks. She had anemia and now her hb is 9. Doc asked her to take Ferinject for iron. Can we do it at this point of time?

Hello there.
I can understand your concern.
Yes, that's how anemia is corrected.
She can take injection and she will have to take a high protein diet.
This way her hemoglobin will improve gradually.
You must realise that hemoglobin requires iron and protein.
