My mother had commando surgery (wide resection + neck dissection + flap reconstruction usually) in May 2025 for recurrent carcinoma of the gingivobuccal sulcus.
• She has been on tube feeding (Ryles/PEG tube) for ~4 months.
• Now the goal is to help her regain safe swallowing so that the tube can eventually be removed.
Please suggest the next steps so that we can achieve the goal of removing the feeding tube and she could take the feed normally and how many days it takes .
