Fathers hba1c 6.81
My father age 66 was feeling weak fro. Few days. Have go e for clfew test(self) and hba1c level came 6.81 should I be worried or this is normal levels should I consult any diabetologist for this.

Go for detail diabetes profile blood check up ,that includes fasting, PP1 and HBA1c. Monitor blood sugar level. Life style modifications, diet ,restriction over salt and sugar,exercise and meditation will improve the blood sugar.

Hba1c 6.8% is in Diabetes range. Get his fasting ,post lunch sugars as well Depend on the reports whether medicines need to be started or can be controlled only by diet and exercise. Diet and exercise play a key role in controlling sugars. For further guidance consilt
