Fasting sugar level
Hello Dr., My husband is diabetic. His Hb A1c is 6.3 last month. We take his empty stomach sugar test after 14 hrs of dinner. Its always under 115 in last 2 n a half months. What is the ideal time gape for taking fasting sugar level? I have attached his report. Please suggest

It should be 8 to 12 hours of fast . Based on the self monitoring of blood glucose log , his diabetes seem to be in perfect control . Always target to keep Hba1c below 7 %

Minimum 8 hrs fasting required.. He is in prediabetic range. No need of medicines as per the reports. Strict diabetic diet and daily walking for 30 to 45 mins is required.. Consult online for further guidance
