My Father aged 73 has experienced sudden fall in Hemoglobin as 7.9 and B12 is only 50, he is an old diabetic patient.. But Sugar levels are almost in control... What may be the cause.. Get his peripheral blood film for a anemia typing done. It may b vit B12 deficiency or some other cause too.
He can take Inj Methycobal 1 amp alt day for 5 doses followed by Tab Methycobal 500 thrice a day
