Dear Sir,
If you go by the these values these are borderline high. Now, there are 3 factors you need to consider in the diagnosis of glaucoma.
Eye pressure, appearance of the optic disc and the anterior chamber angle.
One needs to check with the doctor regarding the appearance of the optic disc and also the angle.
Even if you look at the eye pressure measurement, the actual pressure could be 22mmHg +/- 3 mmHg , in the other eye 25 +/- 3mmHg
To confirm the actual pressure you need to undergo a test called corneal pachymetry. This will help to arrive at the actual pressure.
Once you have this, and also how much damage is there in the optic nerve then accordingly we would need to decide whether to start medication.
If you can undergo a glaucoma package, that is stereodisc photographs, OCT glaucoma, pachymetry then I can advise you further.
Health Tips
Avoid any head standing yoga postures such as Sirshasana as these increase the eye pressure.
One reading of Eye pressure isn't conclusive Sir.
If there is a family history of similar complaints then you are at higher risk.
Next Steps
Get the Eye pressure checked again MANUALLY and also get the Corneal thickness estimate done as false reading can be obtained with variable Corneal thickness.
Health Tips
Keep a close watch and get the Blood pressure evaluation done too. if you are a smoker try to avoid.
Do Consult a Glaucoma Specialist for further evaluation and don't worry.
Increased IOP with detectable field defects in visual field test and fundus changes makes complete diagnosis of ur condition called glaucoma.
If ur Ophthalmologist started u eye drops .
Then use regularly without fail.
Every 4-6 month check up with IOP monitor and 6-9 month field test will prevent further progression of ur condition.
Next Steps
control and monitor ur Blood pressure and sugar levels.
