My daughter has a Chaz lion under her eye for over 3 years. Visited eye dr. because of recent swelling. Dr.advised warm compresses with massage twice a day. Now eye is oozing green stuff and swollen again.

Chalazion infected by secondary infection known as inflamed chalazion ,you should take antibiotic orally, Tab L-cin 750 mg once orally x 5 days + ciplox eye ointment 3-4 times,when inflammation subsides,you should get chalazion operated,it is minor surgery leaving no scar on skin.

A. Best option is to treat this acute stage by warm compresses,lid massage and antibiotic ointment and systemic antibiotic if required
B. When this acute stage is over, Chalazion can be treated with Incision and currettage
