Eye scratch
My dog scratched my eye it's been 4-5 hours since th accident but I'm still unable to open my eyes. Naturally
It burns and hurts really bad occasionally even while keeping the eyes closed.
Unable to sleep
I went to the doctor at the time of injury she asked me to keep my eye closed and gave me teardrops eye drop hourly. She said I will be better tomorrow. Is the pain normall I can see if I lift my eyesopen,. The pain is a concern. Still hurts and can't open eye please advise urgently.

What must have happened is that the injury must have damaged the cornea ,thats why when you try to open the eye it pains.The pain is normal .The cornea should heal itself by tomorrow morning just take painkillers for now and if no relief by tomorrow morning then show the ophthalmologist urgently as it could get infected .
