Extraction Query
My orthodontist suggested to extract 1st premolars for braces. I assume that one premolars allow space upto 6mm then 12mm for both premolars. I have normal overjet I am scared that after closing space will my teeth go back by 12mm.If Yes that will be too much for normal overjet. please help me with my Query

Hello sir,        Hope you are doing good. Overjet of upper teeth matters for extraction of premolars but dont be so calculative in millimetres. Your orthodontist might have measured everything for the complete arch space despite overjet and premolar space. Please be cool.

Hello dear Please be calm See extraction of premolars do create a lot of space. Hence the required prerequisites for angles class 2 malocclusion will be achieved. I suggest you not to worry. However if you are in doubt you can share pic and consult me for further details Thanks
