I had pain in left abdomen 2 weeks b4. Sonography told small.prominance in left renal pelvis. I did a ct scan report was normal. Aftr 1 week i hd mild pain in left bladder n testicles. I ws treated fr stone and still d pain persists in testicles. I ws ordered anth sonography n report was extra renal pelvis wt shd i do

Hi....., In some people the kidney pelvis extends beyond the hilum and appears bulged out. This bulging out of the kidney pelvis beyond the hilum is called extra renal pelvis. It does not cause any harm....
The problem is that extra renal pelvis can be confused at many times and might appear like an obstruction in the passage of urine due to a stone in the ureter. For this reason extra renal ureter has to be given carefully on ultrasound scan. ..
