Exposure to Chicken Pox
I met a friend and the next day she tells me that she has contracted Chickenpox. I have never had it in my life and I don't remember if I've been vaccinated or not. What should I do now?

Hi there.. did your friend have skin lesions the day you met her or developed skin lesions after 3 days of your meeting if yes then had they opened up if yes then she is contangious so she would have transferred infection to you. Patient with chicken pox is contagious 3days before rash appearance till rash disappears. If during this period you come in contact with patient then you ll also contract infection. .if there were no skin lesions then nothing to worry may be you won't get it.. consult nearby physician once..
