Do not worry. Taking 1 teaspoon of Acrosil SF syrup that was expired by 9 months is unlikely to cause serious harm. The main issue with expired medicines is that they may become less effective, not usually toxic. ✅ Since it was only one dose, the risk is very low. ✅ No dangerous interaction with the Azithral 500 mg he is already taking. What to do now: Do not give any more expired syrup. Continue the prescribed treatment. Observe for any new symptoms like stomach upset, skin rash, worsening cough, or fever. Because your father is on dialysis, his immunity is weaker, so if his cough and fever do not improve in 2–3 days, or if he develops breathing difficulty, please consult your treating doctor or nephrologist quickly. ⚠️ Always use fresh, in-date medicines for safety.

Hlo Sir, One teaspoon of expired Acrosil SF is unlikely to cause serious harm, but may be less effective. Taking SF instead of LS is not dangerous for a single dose. No major interaction with Azithral 500 mg, but watch for stomach upset, rash, or worsening cough/fever. Advice: Stop the expired syrup, continue prescribed meds, monitor symptoms, and consult his nephrologist doctor for a safe cough syrup suitable for dialysis. Hope this help u . thanku 😊
