  4. Esomac 40 reaction. Can be the reason.

I have been prescribed esomac 40 for gerd but  2-3 hours after taking the medicine i feel itchiness in eyes and chest feels heavy for some period of time like 15 mins after that i feel normal again. i feel the same way after taking omeprazole and pantoprazole tablets. only rantac suits me. what can be the reason.

Ya some people do have such reaction with proton pump inhibitors. You can go ahead with H2 blockers like Zinetac. You can increase the dose of Zinetac to 300 mg 2 times a day. Its better to get a upper Gastroscopy done to rule out presence of any ulcer / erosion/ H PYLORI infection.
