Severe gastritis and small ulcers usually heal with proper treatment and lifestyle control. Reduce stress, avoid alcohol, smoking, spicy/acidic foods, and irregular meals. Maintain good sleep and small frequent meals. Testing for Helicobacter pylori is important, as infection commonly causes gastritis and duodenal ulcers. Early management prevents complications.
