I have suffering from erectile dysfunction from last week. It happened suddenly. I don't know what is the problem. Will it be a serious and affect my sexual life? Kindly help.

Dear Friend,
Erectile dysfunction affects about 12% of males under the age of 60 years, around 22% of males in their 60s and 30% of males over 70 years of age.
The risk of Ed increases with age. However, there can be many other causes of ED like stress, cardiovascular causes, alcohol, obesity, etc. There are various options to treat ED. A proper history and examination will help reveal the cause. Its not a very serious issue, its treatable by medications very easily.
The treatment can vary from counselling to certain herbal medicines to vascular stimulants. These can be decided after consulting.
