Epilepsy related
Hello Doctor, I am on treatment for epilepsy since 2008. Eeg, mri reports are normal. Taking 1g sodium valproate and 750 mg Levetiracetam since then. Had total 6 seizure attacks in the last 11 years. Reason - Sleep was less.  Last fit was 3 yrs back in Aug 2015. Should I continue taking the medicine? Please advise as I really dont want to take medicine unnecessarily. Also, me and my wife are thinking of planning baby now. Does this medicine has any impact on sperm? Thanks.

If the last Caesar was in 2015 then now we can slowly slowly taper off the medicine but this requires continuous doctors observation Now consult a Neurologist near by and take his advice on reducing the tablet dose These medicines they don't affect sperm count so don't worry
