Elevated bilirubin levels
I suffer from elevated bilirubin level with no other significant problem. What should i be doing? These have been my bilirubin levels in llthe last one year. May 2017: Total bilirubin- 1.42 Conjugated bilirubin- 0.45 Unconjugated bilirubin- 0.97 Oct 2017 Total bilirubin- 0.92 Conjugated bilirubin- 0.23 Unconjugated bilirubin- 0.69 Feb 2018 Total bilirubin- 1.37 Conjugated bilirubin- 0.35 Unconjugated bilirubin- 1.02

increase in unconjugated bilirubin levels can be due to a congenital enzyme defect. usually it doesn't cause trouble unless the body is exposed to undue stress (Eg: post major surgery) -- here the bilirubin levels may rise further. please do visit a medical gastroenterologist or a senior physician. he/she will be able to take care of this issue.
