Eight month baby having cold and cough
My eight month baby is having cold and cough for the past two days...She is frequently crying also...I am giving mucolite and ascoril syrup to her.. but cough is not reduced... Please suggest a solution

Hi thanks for writing to Practo consult.
Please gibe plain steam inhalation to baby. Take 2-3 glass of steaming water, put it in bucket and hold the baby on your lap, with bucket by your side, and hold babies face just above the steam. Baby will cry with this. But hold for 15 -30 sec. And use nasal saline drips after this. Also use them before every feed. 2 drops in both sides.
Next Steps
If baby has fever. difficulty in breathing please visit pediatrician in person.
