EEG vs MRI
Which test is recommended for a patient who have sudden fainting and fall down. EEG or MRI. It is coz of brain issues or heart is culprit in this. EEG reports helps to neurosurgeon for what?

Well if it’s just a simple fainting episode it really doesnt require investigation . EEG is done to rule out the possibility of seizure and Mri to look for structural problem/ reason if one suspects seizure . For fainting episode/syncope one may do ECG , Tilt table testing
