I have developed atopic dermatitis around the eyes. First I thought it was a reaction to the make-up I was using (didn't use anything new though).
So, I stopped using make-up completely and started thoroughly moisturising my skin around the eyes, using very expensive moisturizers with ceramides, HA and panthenol. At night I even use a dap of Vaseline after applying moisturizer. But eventhough I take such good care my eczema around the eyes it seems to be even getting a little worse.
I hesitate using steroids around the area since I was on steroids for a long time during my childhood. I had eczema back then around the eyes, behind the knees and inside the elbows. I remember getting some radiation done as well.
So as a result of prolonged use of steroids around the eyes my skin has become very thin and looks a tiny a bit wrinkled as well. However, I have been using make-up pretty frequently and I haven't used anything new & I notice it flares up whenever I apply eye makeup. hence stopped
