Early menses
My menstrual cycle was typically every 25-26 days ever since i started menstruating.. But since almost a year, this cycle has shortened to every 22-24 days. Ive also been diagnosed with hypothyroid last year and have been on regular medication ever since. I am really concerned if this shortening of menstrual cycle is related to PCOS.. My gynaec just did a prolactin test when i told her about my concern. Prolactin tests were normal but i am still very very apprehensive about PCOS. Please guide.

Hello there.  I can understand your concern.  It could be normal. And yes it could even be linked to the PCOS. its really difficult to tell without examining you and running some tests. My advise would be to consult a gynaecologist in person for further evaluation and management.  Get all your doubts cleared by her. Best regards. Dr. Anil kumar jain. Bangalore
