I got my first period when I was 8 or 9 years old, which I think is quite early. I'm 20 years old now. Since I started my periods at an early age, am I at a higher risk of developing breast, ovarian, or any other type of cancer? I don’t have any family history of such conditions. If there is a risk, what can I do for prevention?"

Early menarche (before 12 years) is considered a risk factor for breast cancer. There is no preventive measures but you can do self examinations regularly starting now and screening mammogram after 40 years.
