I took out my ear ring and went to clean it when I noticed and lump like thing in my earlobe

Sometimes long term use of ear stud can cause chronic irritation of the ear lobule and slight thickening of the area. Usually it will. Regress once the ear stud is removed. If it is not painful you need not worry about it
