Ear wax removal
Are drops like Curewax recommended for ear wax removal? I got a consultation and the doctor showed me that the problems in my ear were due to ear wax buildup. However, the doctor is charging an exorbitant amount for cleaning (I'm also discouraged from spending a significant amount on the procedure because the last doctor herself removed the wax as part of consultation only).

When your previous doctor did not charge you for wax removal was when it was not impacted and it was trivial in nature. This time however it is a different case and extraction of Impacted cerumen is a genuine procedure which merits a fee. Sometimes it can be a very painful issue called keratosis obturans needing even anaesthesia to extract it and can be quite expensive(the last time I had such a case, it cost him ₹15000!)
