Ear piercing infection

Asked for Female, 19 Years

I have a cartilage piercing and i think that it has puss around it so will it affect my ear if i continue wearing that stud . If not then what should i do to prevent it without getting my piercing closed.

You seem to be having infected ear piercing site. It usually occurs secondary to allergic reactions towards the ear stud material. You may need to remove the ear stud and apply antiseptic steroid ointment for few days
