Ear infection - hearing loss

Asked for Female, 30 Years

Hello, I got two ear infections last Saturday that both ruptured and was put on antibiotics. It has been a week and I just took the last of my antibiotics. Both ears feel as if they are plugged and I am having a hard time hearing like I'm under water or have earplugs in. Will this go away on its own or should I be concerned? Are there ways I can help this go away? Thank you

You seem to have had acute suppurative otitis media which is a common type of acute Middle ear infection for which treatment was taken. After this infection many patients develop a condition known as otitis media with effusion. Usually this condition resolves on its own within few days. No specific treatment is required
