Hello, diarrhoea is passage of loose stools, dysentery is passage of blood in loose stools, if your baby is having dysentery consult pediatrician immediately. If it is diarrhoea and baby can able to eat and drink, give baby ors solution as much as it drinks, or tender coconut (but don't force), just to avoid dehydration, and 5ml of zinc syrup per day. Don't allow baby to dehydrate. If baby gets fever,or lethargic,or doesn't feed well or cries of abdominal pain visit doctor. Immediately.
