Dutaprost and minoxidil combination usag

I visited a dermatologist recently . Was diagnosed with pattern baldness - grade 4. I was prescribed dutaprost tablets and minoxidil solution. Read online that there were lot of side effects of dutaprost usage ..is it safe to use.? are the side effects permanent..? Can a combination of minoxidil and dutaprost be used .? Also ...since this is going to be a long term commitment..will changes in medication in between affect my hair..
